David brings more than 35 years’ experience across infrastructure, spanning highways, rail and, for the past 17 years, the power sector, working across distribution, transmission and private networks.
In his new role, David will work across Dunamis, and sister company Maintech Power, supporting the development of both businesses whilst enhancing the strong working relationship already in place between them.
Dunamis, which is based in Bury St Edmunds, is a leading Independent Connection Provider (ICP) specialising in the design and delivery of High Voltage grid connections and networks up to 132kV. The business operates in complex, high-demand environments where technical expertise and end-to-end delivery capability are critical.
Throughout his career, David has held senior roles with organisations including Morrison Utility Services, Morgan Sindall and Amey, working with major clients such as National Grid, SSE and Scottish Power. He has also led his own business in the ICP sector and most recently served as UK Country Manager for a European organisation, where he was responsible for developing a new power infrastructure strategy and building a significant project pipeline.
Dunamis and Maintech Power have a long-standing track record of working closely together across projects, combining their respective strengths in design, delivery and maintenance. David’s appointment reflects a strategic focus on building on this foundation, identifying new growth opportunities and further strengthening the Group’s end-to-end High Voltage offering.
By continuing to strengthen collaboration across its specialist businesses, Fulcrum Group is further enhancing its ability to support clients across the full lifecycle of infrastructure projects, from initial concept through to ongoing operation and maintenance.
What attracted me to Dunamis was the strength of its technical capability and the opportunity to build on that.
There are very few businesses in the market that can genuinely deliver across the full lifecycle of High Voltage infrastructure and the opportunity now is to build on a strong foundation, and use our combined expertise to unlock further growth and expand the range of solutions we can offer. By continuing to strengthen how the businesses work together, we can deliver an even more seamless experience for clients across the full lifecycle of their infrastructure.
David’s appointment is a key step in further strengthening our High Voltage capability across the Group. He brings a depth of experience across multiple infrastructure sectors, along with a strong track record of building and developing businesses.
His role will be instrumental in strengthening our High Voltage offering as we respond to growing demand across the market and deliver ever greater value to our clients.
