Ensuring the company continues to be fully accredited to work on high voltage projects up to 132kV, NERS is an essential accreditation required to operated as an Independent Connection Provider (ICP). Dunamis has secured full NERS approval, maintaining one of only a small number of companies to hold this level of accreditation.
It also supports Dunamis’ strategy for the provision of its highly specialist electrical design services and high voltage electrical infrastructure capabilities.
NERS assesses the competence of (ICPs) to design, project manage and build out electrical connections. Operated by LRQA, the accreditation ensures that ICPs can execute high-quality and safe connections.
To achieve the accreditation, which is reassessed every three years, Dunamis took part in a series of physical assessments.
The assessors meticulously reviewed Dunamis’ onsite capabilities and processes covering areas including design, construction, commissioning, cable works and jointing.
Dunamis’ bespoke capabilities are utilised for the construction and maintenance of sites such as large-scale battery storage facilities, infrastructure for solar farms and wind farms.
“NERS is an exceptionally important scheme for our industry, not only to demonstrate the competencies that exist within our business to deliver complex electrical projects, but also to provide peace of mind to customers that the service we provide is to the highest consistent standard.
“The demand for high voltage electrical infrastructure is growing as the UK increases the pace of the energy transition. This has created an increased pipeline of opportunities for our engineers to contribute to achieving net zero and this renewed accreditation is key to validating our capabilities.”
