Dunamis shortlisted for prestigious Networks and Connections award at Solar & Storage Live 2024

Dunamis, an Independent Connection Provider (ICP) specialising in the design and build of High Voltage (HV) grid connections and networks, has been shortlisted for a major award at Solar & Storage Live.

The company is a finalist in the Networks and Connections category at the Solar & Storage Live Awards, which takes place on 24 September at the NEC in Birmingham.

This is the second year running Dunamis has made the shortlist in this category, further highlighting its growing contribution to the electrification of major UK solar and storage projects.

The business designs and delivers HV electrical infrastructure and connections to power industrial scale schemes, with around 90 percent of its projects being in the renewable energy sector, connecting solar farms, wind farms and battery energy storage sites (BESS).

This has included, in the past year, HV electrical infrastructure for Lightsource bp’s 158-acre co-located battery energy storage and solar site, Tiln Farm Solar Farm in Nottinghamshire, with Dunamis designing, constructing and commissioning a 132kV substation and managing and delivering the grid connection.

Dunamis is one of only a small number of ICPs in the UK on the LRQA NERS register with the ability to design and deliver electrical infrastructure projects up to 132kV and has a history of successful contract delivery. As a result, Dunamis has built a strong record of repeat business from a portfolio of clients.

The Awards coincide with Solar & Storage Live, which is the UK’s largest renewable energy exhibition and takes place 24 to 26 September. Dunamis is exhibiting at the event on stand D52, alongside its sister company, Maintech Power, which provides specialist HV electrical installation and maintenance services.

We’re extremely proud to be named as a finalist for the Networks and Connections award for the second consecutive year. It is testament to the talent and dedication of our highly experienced team of HV specialists and our long-term and close relationships we have with our clients.

Solar & Storage Live is a significant date in the calendars of everyone in this industry and we’re excited for the awards as well as the exhibition where we’ll get to engage with other innovative companies who share the same ambition to enhance the contribution of renewable energy generation in our journey to Net Zero.
