Experienced HV project management specialist promoted to Operations Director
Dunamis, a leading Independent Connection Provider (ICP) specialising in the design and build of high voltage grid connections and networks, has announced the promotion of Iain McNeil to Operations Director.
A highly experienced project manager operating in low and high voltage electrical disciplines, Iain began his career working on 11kV installations before moving on to 132kV sites.
As Operations Director, Iain will oversee Dunamis’ projects from design and civils through to delivery, working closely with clients and the business’ project management and on-site teams.
Iain, began his career in the utility industry with Integrated Utility Services, as a Project Coordinator and subsequently Project Manager on high voltage projects. He then moved on to Freedom and then Smith Brothers Contracting in high voltage project management roles, before joining Dunamis in 2021.
Initially joining Dunamis as a Project Manager, Iain has progressed to Senior Project Manager in 2022, before taking on this current role as Operations Director.
Iain’s promotion is part of Dunamis’ strong growth, particularly in the renewable energy sector. It is one of only a small number of ICPs in the UK accredited on the LRQA NERS register with the ability to design and deliver electrical infrastructure projects up to 132kV, with a highly experienced team, which enables Dunamis to support projects in the most effective, flexible and innovative way possible.
From the day I joined Dunamis I could see the progression opportunities as the business continues to scale through the delivery of its highly specialist services. We have a strong team of HV experts and I am proud to take on this new role as Operations Director at such an exciting time for the business.
We are delighted to appoint Iain as our Operations Director. He has played a key role in the successful undertaking of multiple HV projects, which are contributing to enhancing the UK’s electrical infrastructure as we transition towards a low carbon economy.
Continuing to build and develop our team of highly experienced HV specialists, ensures Dunamis will continue to secure a pipeline of high value projects and Iain will play a fundamental role in the successful delivery of these schemes.
