The appointment covers the full breadth of Fulcrum Group, which includes multi-utility business Fulcrum, High Voltage connections experts Dunamis, and High Voltage installation and O&M specialists Maintech Power. Together, these businesses deliver specialist utility solutions across the UK, with growing opportunities for projects that combine their complementary expertise to drive efficiencies and deliver enhanced value for customers.
Chris brings more than 40 years of experience in the engineering and infrastructure services sector, beginning his career as an apprentice in electrical engineering before completing a degree to become a Chartered Electrical Engineer, followed by an MBA.
He spent the majority of his career at NG Bailey, one of the UK’s largest independent engineering and services businesses, where he progressed from apprentice to director. During his 30-plus years with the company, Chris gained extensive experience across electrical, mechanical, and IT engineering services, delivering major projects for clients in the commercial, manufacturing, power generation, and network distribution sectors.
Most recently, Chris held the position of Head of Business Development at Enerveo (formerly SSE Contracting), where he led customer engagement and growth strategies across multiple markets.
At Fulcrum Group, Chris will oversee the complete work-winning process, from initial enquiry through to contract award, ensuring that all group opportunities are maximised and that customers receive a seamless experience across all divisions. His remit includes developing and maintaining customer and supplier relationships and overseeing post-proposal negotiations.
