Powering Gorse Lane Solar Farm
Dunamis was awarded a contract by Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor, Metka EGN, to deliver a turnkey High Voltage infrastructure and electrical design service for Lightsource bp’s Lincolnshire solar farm, Gorse Lane. Gorse Lane is a 50MW solar farm that will generate enough electricity to power 6,000 homes and 8,000 electric vehicles, while also offsetting 10,000 tonnes of carbon emissions.

Dunamis’ designers worked closely with the DNO to design and deliver an innovative combined dual circuit substation building that met the specific needs of the client. Effective collaboration with the EPC contractor, site teams and the operator, was also a key element of the project, with weekly project meetings held to improve efficiency.
